We had two Caravans working with Missionary Flights out of Ft. Pierce Florida. The first airplane arrived in Ft. Pierce on Saturday January 16 and the second on Sunday January 24. We took about 75 trips to Haiti with 2700 lbs per load, we moved over 200,000 lbs of cargo. Some days we were carrying luggage for passengers that were flying on Saab 2000's that were donated by Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing. Other days it was medical supplies, food, tents and other misc cargo. On some of the return flights we carried a few passengers that needed to return to the U.S. Priority Air Charter donated the use of the airplanes, our pilots donated most of their time and donations from many people to Missionary Flights covered the fuel.
We also had one of our Caravans stay in Haiti until June 25 working with Samaritan's Purse. |
